Fiona here
The past four nights me and my random crew, esp Emma J have been spending our evening listening to the greatness that is The Martians at the Edinburgh Dungeons! I think its safe to say they will remember us forvever now. Then me and my friends met Emma on the Royal mile and me and Emma and my m8 Gill went to talk to them. Gareth came and spoke to us for a minute just before they started their next set busking. So here I was time no.4 sitting as usual in the front row armed with my camera for all the random Martians moments. They began with the tale of Jamie and Wordsworth and acted out their story interspersed with covers along the way, which all fitted to the story, My favourite is definately 'Jamie and the magic torch' and trust me once youv'e heard it once, you cant get that song out your head and I so know all the words off by heart. At one point Gareth had to piddle on Emma. He put his head on his hand on his knee and was like looking at me with this really funny expression as he piddled, lol!! Me and Emma also did our random out of time clapping thing. After that Mark on the platfrom thing looked down at me and said, 'oh its you again', lol! At the end we stayed and had our usual wee chat and I got my photo taken on Gareths knee, yay...fun!! And had photos and chats with the rest of the guys, Thanks for putting up with us!!! Great nights!!!!
hALLOWNE'EN gIG write up!
The Halloween gig was amazing, only one word pretty much sums it up....WOW!!
It was brilliant to hear all the new songs, which are fab and also to hear Gerry sing. His voice is amazing and I love the song that he sang that was written with the help of Mr Danger himself!! Gareth sang a brilliant song “ All over you!” which I loved. Also I loved hearing "Flowers and Butterflies" live, which John sang at the end when everyone was yelling "ONE MORE!!!!" I think this gig was one of my favorites because it was all their Material Old and New and nothing beats hearing these songs performed Live. Also the ressurection of Buddy Holly was class, John and Gerry were hysterical!!!!! It was so funny!!
It was great to chat to John at the end. He came and talked to us for a while about the future gigs at the Bongo that might be happening. Then when we mentioned we were going back to watch Buffy "hush" he did the scary gentlemen face and at this point he was standing beside me, and was doing the scary face and I was well freaked out....John you're too good at that, lol. Please don’t be scary again!!!
It was a brilliant.....terriffying Night!!! haha!!

Fiona here again (again!!)
So yet another Martian gig and man it was great, as usual! I swear everytime I hear them they are better and better and better!! They came on at about 10.20 and sang 7 or 8 songs, of which I dont know all the names yet!!
They were great, much more rocky and mature than the last, but Upbeat beat and Stopped me in my Tracks still rule! The new stuff it just fab! My fave two songs were the one written by John and Dave, wonderfully sung by John and Gerry. And one song by Gareth, called "All Over You"
