The Martians busking High Street Edinburgh August 2006
I managed the trip over to Edinburgh and it was the Martians first day busking. John‘s small dog Jamie, now 16! was on hand and the boys sang – Sweet Home Alabama, Hard Days Night Brown Eyed Girl, To say the boys are buzzing is an understatement! A quick look at the crowd shows a smile on their faces, and their tongue-in-cheek humour and exuberance is infectious.

The Martians busking the High Street 23rd August 2006
On another sunny festival day the Martians took to the High street, performing their energetic and well known covers with enthusiasm, wit and energy. They introduce their covers – here’s another song that we wrote! They sang Baby One More Time, Brown-Eyed Girl, Help, Sweet Home Alabama.
Endimol
The Martians musical the Sundowe won the Quest, and Endimol were there to film them busking and interview John and Gerry. There were some American performers who had taken part in the Sundowe in Ullapool last July and they hoped they might take part in the performance next year. The Art director for the Sundowe was also there, and he seemed very excited about working on the musical.
They have a new Martian CD for sale; ‘Please buy a CD for £5, we made it in our room and its ridiculous!’
